Shakwa Nyambe is the Founder and Managing Partner of the law firm. He is a specialised Energy, Natural Resources and Commercial Lawyer. He is also specialised in drafting, reviewing, and negotiations of contracts. He has advised International Corporations, State-Owned Enterprises, Governments and individuals in Energy, Natural Resources, Commercial and Dispute Resolution matters. He has provided legal and business advisory services to foreign investors in various matters ranging from mergers and acquisitions, commercial transactions, corporate governance, and project financing. His clients include some of the oil and gas companies, renewable energy companies, mining companies, construction and infrastructure companies, State-Owned Enterprises, Governments, and corporate entities.
Nyambe previously worked as a Legal Counsel at the National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia, as a Chief Legal Officer at the Ministry of Justice, Namibia, and as a State Advocate at the High Court of Namibia. He is the current Director for the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN)’s African Chapter. He serves on the drafting committees for the AIPN JOA Committee, LNG, SPA Committee, Asset Sale and Purchase Agreement Committee, and the Drilling Contract Committee. He also serves as a Board of Director at Debmarine Namibia and NAMDEB Holdings (50-50 joint venture diamond mining between the Government of Namibia and De Beers).
Nyambe holds a Baccalaureus Juris degree and a Bachelor of Laws degree, both from the University of Namibia. In addition, he also holds a postgraduate degree of Master of Laws in Oil & Gas Law with Professional Skills (LLM) from the University of Aberdeen in the United Kingdom and a Postgraduate Diploma in Drafting and Interpretation of Contracts from the University of Johannesburg. He is an admitted legal practitioner of the High Court and Supreme Court of Namibia.

Shafimana joined the team as an Associate and has brought with him extensive knowledge and expertise. Shafimana was most recently seconded to the Ministry of Mines and Energy, the Directorate dealing with Regulation, Compliance and Economics for Petroleum Affairs to gain further exposure.
The scope of his work ranges over the various facets of the law with a specialization in oil & gas, administrative law, drafting of commercial agreements and the negotiations thereof as well as drafting pleadings. Shafimana also focuses on litigating as a defense lawyer on behalf of our clients.
Having been exposed to the legal fraternity at an international level, Shafimana has gained insight on how the various legal frameworks operate at a global level, which has made him versatile and well versed for our clients both at a local and global level. Shafimana has further developed an interest in downstream energy law, focusing on the regulation of Electricity & Gas Networks and the liberalisation of energy markets in developing economies.
Shafimana holds an LLB (Honors) from the University of Namibia. In addition, he also holds a postgraduate degree of Master of Laws in Oil and Gas Law with Professional Skills from the prestigious University of Aberdeen in the United Kingdom. He is an Admitted legal practitioner of the High Court of Namibia.
He previously worked as a legal consultant at Trustco Insurance and completed his articles at Henry Shimutwikeni & Co under the guidance of Mr Amupunda Eino Kamanja. Most recently, he was seconded to the Ministry of Mines and Energy, the Directorate dealing with Regulation, Compliance and Economics for Petroleum Affairs to gain further exposure.

Esther Kiangi began her legal career by pursuing an LLB(Hons) Degree from the University of Nottingham, a leading Russel Group University. During this time, she joined mooting challenges as well as the Pro bono and Negotiating Societies to broaden her expertise. It was also during her studies that she had the opportunity to undertake internship schemes at both WKH House and Sisa Namandje & Co to gain practical and local experience to supplement her knowledge.
After successfully obtaining her LLB(Hons) degree, she went on to pursue an LLM in Oil, Gas, and Mining Law at Nottingham Trent University. At this time, she specialized in the investment and environmental aspect of the extractive industry, with regard to the international legal framework for transnational foreign investment within the petroleum and mining industry, in addition to other major energy projects.
She particularly took a keen interest in international dispute resolution, that encompassed the way in which companies and individuals deal with the conflicts of laws that arise in the context of international commercial transactions. This included the technical, legal, and procedural aspect of the resolution of these disputes.
While her primary focus is in the extractives industry and international dispute resolution, her other legal skills lie within company law and maritime law.
Additionally, her notable achievements include being appointed to the board of Pearl Waterfree Technologies, as well as Triumphant College.

Loide Hamutumwa has broad experience in Energy Finance and Taxation. With very impressive credentials, Loide holds a diploma in Commerce, BTech: Administration (Namibia University of Science and Technology); BJuris, LLB Hons, LLM (University of Nambia); LLM: Petroleum Taxation and Finance – distinction (University of Dundee).
For her in-depth knowledge of mineral & petroleum taxation and governance, she was appointed as a member to the government Petroleum and Mining Contracts Negotiating Team.
Loide’s other notable appointments include serving as a Convener of the Tax Tribunal and she oversees notices of appeals to be heard by the Special Court. She is the present Secretary to the Namibia Double Taxation Agreements Negotiation Tax Team. Her career in Energy Finance started when she joined the Solar Revolving Fund at the Ministry of Mines and Energy. She enjoys writing tax journals and uses the knowledge and experience developed over years of working at the Legal Unit, Inland Revenue Department to educate taxpayers on tax compliance and tax justice.

Beatrice Sibalatani holds a Bachelors of Laws Honours Degree (LLB), from the University of Namibia, and she is currently enrolled with Justice Training Centre of Namibia, in pursuance of an Admission as Legal Practitioner of the High Court of Namibia.
Beatrice is an experienced compliance officer, who also acted as company secretary for a period of more than three years with a mining company. During this period, she gained expertise in rendering legal advice by liaising with External Legal Counsels, Drafting Contracts and Board Resolutions, as well as drafting Board Meeting Minutes.
Beatrice has a keen interest in Energy, Mining and Natural Resources, and she aspires to be one of the best energy and natural resources lawyers in Namibia and the African continent at large.

Stanley has significant experience in Mining, Environmental Law, Marine Regulation, Minerals Investment Leveraging and Commodities Brokering.
Prior to Joining Shakwa Nyambe & Co Inc, Stanley worked as a Legal Advisor and Head of the Compliance and Legal Department at Rebelon Mining Namibia (PTY) Ltd, a leading mining trading company with various copper interests and assets. He serves as a non-executive director of the company.
Stanley has been vividly involved in the mining industry, both as a legal consultant and mining entrepreneur, for more than four (4) years. He has provided advisory services to various national and international corporations in the mining industry, including on contractual, legislative and regulatory frameworks. Further, Stanley has brokered and negotiated numerous transactions ranging from sale of commodities, sale/transfer of mineral licenses and the successful setting up of mining operations.
Particularly, Stanley has amassed immense knowledge and experience of the mining industry from his hands-on approach, having worked on issues relating to small-scale mining, marine mining regulation, marine environmental protection and commodities trading. He has worked closely with organizations and individuals from the grass root level upwards, and understands the core and broad spectrum of the industry both from a legal, technical and investment leveraging perspective.
He holds a BJURIS, LLB (University of Namibia) and LLM in Oil, Gas and Mining Law from Nottingham Trent University (UK).

Mr Simba Nduna is the holder of a Bachelor of Law (BL)(Honours) and Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Zimbabwe.
Simba practised as a Legal Practitioner in Zimbabwe for sixteen (16) years during the period in which he dealt with corporate, commercial and litigation matters. This was after a three (3) year stint as a Magistrate in Zimbabwe.
In 2006, Simba joined the Office of the Prosecutor-General in Namibia as a State Advocate until 2020. In that capacity, he prosecuted criminal cases in the Lower Courts and High Courts of Namibia provided legal advice on matters involving corporates and state-owned enterprises. Simba is also specialised in the handling of Money Laundering, Bribery, Compliance, Anti-Corruption as well as Extradition matters.
Before he joined the Office of the Prosecutor-General.
Atwelukye Mkusa holds a National Diploma In Information Technology and is Cisco Certified Network Professional (Cisco ID: CSCO11903513), from the Namibian University of Science and Technology, and she is currently a third-year student and the same university pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and Media Technologies.
Atwelukye has worked in IT, Sales and Marketing, Project Administration and at present is the administration Officer at SNC Incorporated.
