SNC Incorporated Donates Soccer and Netball Jerseys to Nakabolelwa Combined School

SNC Incorporated has reaffirmed its commitment to community development through a generous donation of soccer and netball jerseys to Nakabolelwa Combined School in the Kabbe South Constituency of the Zambezi Region.

The school, established in 1964, has long served as an educational cornerstone in the area, currently catering to 220 learners from pre-primary to Grade 9, supported by a dedicated team of 12 teachers. Despite its rich history, Nakabolelwa Combined School has faced challenges over the years, including the lack of updated sports gear. Before this donation, the school’s last jerseys for netball and soccer were procured in 1998, over two decades ago.

The donation marks a significant milestone for the school. The acting principal, Mr. Nzwile Situmbeko, expressed profound gratitude on behalf of the learners and staff. “For several years, our teams have played without proper jerseys, and this has often affected their morale. This generous gesture from SNC Incorporated has brought renewed pride and excitement to our school,” he remarked.

SNC Incorporated’s involvement in the Nakabolelwa community extends beyond the jerseys. The firm is also sponsoring the Nakabolelwa Annual Tournament, now in its second edition. The annual competition, which brings together young athletes from neighbouring villages, is a platform for showcasing talent and building unity through sports.

SNC Incorporated Managing Partner, Shakwa Nyambe, commented on the firm’s motivation for supporting the school and community. “At SNC Incorporated, we believe in the power of sports to transform lives. By donating these jerseys and supporting the tournament, we aim to instill a sense of pride, teamwork, and determination among the youth. Our goal is to help these young learners thrive both on and off the field.”

Nakabolelwa Combined School continues to excel academically, achieving a commendable 75% pass rate for grade 9 in 2023. The acting principal hopes the renewed enthusiasm from this donation will inspire learners to achieve even greater success, both academically and athletically.

SNC Incorporated’s initiative demonstrates the firm’s dedication to making a meaningful difference in the lives of Namibia’s youth, ensuring that communities like Nakabolelwa are empowered to flourish for generations to come.
