We welcome Shafimana Shimakeleni to SNC Incorporated. Shafimana joined the firm on the 1st of April 2021 as an Associate attorney. Shafimana was recently seconded to the Ministry of Mines and Energy, the Directorate dealing with Regulation, Compliance and Economics for Petroleum Affairs to gain exposure on how the Oil & Gas industry is regulated.
Shafimana will be specialising in providing legal advise, drafting & negotiating commercial agreements and litigating on behalf of our clients. During the course of his career, Shafimana has been exposed to various facets of Namibian law as well as legal frameworks of several international jurisdictions which allows him to work with our local and global clients.
Shafimana holds an LLB (Honors) from the University of Namibia. In addition, he also holds a postgraduate degree of Master of Laws in Oil and Gas Law with Professional Skills from the prestigious University of Aberdeen in the United Kingdom. He is an Admitted legal practitioner of the High Court of Namibia.
Shafimana has previously worked as a legal consultant at Trustco Group Holding, and completed his articles at Henry Shimutwikeni & Co under the guidance of Amupanda Kamanja. Shafimana is keen to be part of the team and is looking to grow his expertise while using his knowledge and skills to serve the vision of the firm.
He is a strong believer that “Without labour, nothing prospers” and he is committed to the role and journey going forward.
